A long slow jog avoiding hills to keep feet/legs/ankle etc. happy. Managed to do it! Once again thankful to be out; can always build on this.

Saturday Feb 10, 2018 #

Running 22:00 [5] 5.0 km (4:24 / km)

Gawler parkrun, starting at a very brisk pace to see how felt! First Km was about 4:02, then as expected, slower from there on! Humid. Mentally distracted on way back by people cheering me on (made me feel like I'd finished or something and I began noticing the humidity and my slowing pace instead of just pressing on oblivious!).

Walk/Jog 1:15:00 [0] 8.0 km (9:23 / km)

Rest i.e. walk/jog to the village and back. After 2km gently jogged 500m then walked 500m. Used off-the shelf orthotics in ASICs! Think they might be my new walking combo!

Thursday Feb 8, 2018 #

Running 47:00 [3] 7.0 km (6:43 / km)

Sought out soft grass at Gawler rec due to feet, but moved to gravel path (after discovered it was a dog's playground!) and I felt ok, so did 4 x 1.1Km ish loops in the heat trying to make sure nothing hurt too much! 2 clockwise at 4:44 and 4:20 pace and 2 anti-clockwise at 4:30 and 4:20 pace.

Wednesday Feb 7, 2018 #

Walk/Jog 1:00:00 [1] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

Jog/walk from home since feet were sore (arch of right in particular) and used orthotics (felt good in end while was still moving!). Hip/groin also bothered me but felt good up the hill, in fact felt like I was pushing off from ankles and getting some power from hamstring more than have ever noticed before.

Tuesday Feb 6, 2018 #

Running 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Evening 5km at Morialta, gentle jog (but tried up the Hogans Hill bit) then walked from the top along new route; swung on circular rope web swing at end since it felt like foam rolling the leg!

Monday Feb 5, 2018 #

Running 21:00 [4] 4.0 km (5:15 / km)

Headed for soft grass of oval and buttock/feet did feel better there. Did roughly 5 x 500m at 4:26, 4:10, 4:06, 4:04, 4:10 pace. Think I might need more recovery inbetween the efforts to get better pace and heart into right zone.... but hard to tell from apparent lag in data.
