Test jog. On the whole annoying "pinch" in glute has gone for now (after massage? rest?), but feet / ankles sore (tarmac?). Was able to try 100, 200 and 300 step surges (about 230m, 460m and 710m), followed by a 1Km and 1.5Km effort with no glute problems. Tried new shoes (NB 880) after having seen podiatrist in morning, but didn't use orthotics since I wanted to feel what they were like without first. Quite nice but feet/ankles aching now.
