Running 54:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:24 / km)

Carisbrooke park for 10km, including 5km steady, then some 100 step surges, followed by 20 step surges. "Hakuna matata" for about 3km.... then a rhs glute twinge (reminding me I'm still recovering - hopefully). It passed. Was pleasantly tired towards end. Last few surges were weak, so might have over-done it. Massage and tennis balls seem to have sorted out the lhs rib cage. I can breathe without pain!

Running 21:50 [3] 5.0 km (4:22 / km)

Carisbrooke parkrun on a chilly morning. Managed ok with left and right glute after copious amounts of massage, heat and stretching last night and in morning (even lunging is vastly improved). So managed a nice run, after 1km decided to do my 30 step on-30 step off surge routine. Got me round. Must do more massage etc. during week. Still got niggle in left obliques when breathe (whole rib cage probably arthritic) and right shoulder snagging sensation in biceps/deltoids. Other than that ok. Heart rate normal range.

Running 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Some upper body pains eased after massage but still painful turning over in bed in morning :( and generally using right arm to reach back or up. But will continue with tennis balls etc. Felt better for a run today. Went to Gawler and into Dead Man's Pass, ran up the hill, then did 8 or so surges for 50 steps and jogged back, total 5km, to outdoor gym. Used that for some gentle range of motion swings in hips and legs using the swivel and swing devices. Glute much better this time after jog but not 100%. Hard to describe, slight snagging feeling on outer aspect (hammy area?) when swing right leg, ache (almost into ITB band?) when surging and some prickling sensations in hip flexor / quads when surge deteriorates into slower run. So different every day! Left hand side ok today.

Walk/Jog 1:40:00 [3] 11.0 km (9:05 / km)

Went to Mt Crawford for a slow 10km on a very cold morning. Awful upper back ache (both sides but left worst), right shoulder and left glute (that's new!). Hands ended up feeling numb and wrists felt 'sprained' in the cold (took wrist band off in case it was irritating a tendon). Slow plod for about 6km then just walked, especially because heart rate was really high again.

REST 1 [3]

Rest day after woke to sore left shoulder and side. Right deltoid/bicep still hurts. Don't know how to settle upper body down or what caused it. NO septic digging today (or outdoor gym machines!) so that might help. Stretching and massage for legs. Got steps with a gentle walk/jog in the village, incorporating 4x50m strides. Right glute isn't as good running, but probably better overall than has been.

Swimming 1:11:00 [3] 3.0 km (23:40 / km)

3km morning swim, again in blocks of 500m, mixing in 50m breaststroke with faster 50m front crawl bursts, and some time with the paddles to see if they help arms get stronger. Water felt cold. Did 11:40 (breast/front),10:55 (front), 11:31(breast/front), 11:19 front with paddles, 11:30 (front), 12:21 (breast/front). Right arm a little 'sore' with muscular ache/pain not unlike what I'm calling tendinosis in the hip area. Now to continue digging out the septic tank....

Walk/Jog 35:00 [3] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)

Got steps in Fremont Park today, after the swim. Felt ok but fatigued. Was VERY slow. Think hip is getting better, just slight ache in hip flexor at front. Then spent some time on the outdoor gym and noticed how weak I feel doing the 'press' where you lift own body weight by pushing out. Managed 10 and decided to stop especially since right arm hasn't been 100% and there is still the septic to dig. Hands much better today after arthritis like pain/weakness yesterday.

Cycling 50:00 [3] 15.0 km (3:20 / km)

Slow afternoon cycle. Was ok but very cold. Morning digging out septic (hands more sore than obliques/back).

Walk/Jog 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Got daily steps in Gawler first thing, with walk/jog from South school for 5km. Felt ok, but fatigued, after the parkrun mega madness.
