UKEL Graythwaite Orienteering
Very physical, slow going but pretty well nav wise, only one mistake and that was losing contact through the mint-green. Rest of the time, had a plan, kept (reasonable) contact and found controls! Need to build some proper terrain race fitness now!

Rusland Beeches Orienteering UKEL event - 41st/43.
Fab area, good to be out in technical terrain, but was far from my day. Went to control 5 from control 2 (circles were touching, didn't see line to 3). Banana'd my way too far up the hill on my way back to 5 which was annoying, with 4-5 mins of errors in the first loop.
Hard to keep tight contact in the very technical South part of the map, with crags and reentrants blurring looking similar. Managed to blunder my way through due to my slow speed. Few newbie errors at 15, 17, and 18 (not opening my eyes).

Good fun, but crap nav. Goes to show the difference between Peak and Lakes Orienteering. Need to head over to Lakes more and do some more tight, technical terrain. HMU if you fancy coordinating a trip :)
