Beinn Resipol Hill Race - 5th

A classic Lochaber weather day! Probably 40mph gusts at the summit and driving rain! Super heavy going underfoot, more than usual for this race even... That said, a really enjoyable race, given the Ben last weekend and the fact that I still don't feel back to where I was in the spring, I'm pretty happy with how it went. As with last weekend, was slower on the climb than I would have liked, but held the descent and the fast finishing section together much better today, so overall quite happy. Energy levels felt much better too.

A filthy wet and windy evening, but energy levels felt quite good, even if my legs felt a bit heavy and quads were feeling quite tender. Trundled along well enough and feeling like I am recovering well from the Ben.

Took the day off work in order to have a proper rest, and felt pretty good! Despite finding several more scrapes and bruises, my legs felt pretty good, and the expected DOMS weren't too bad, so overall felt like a good recovery run.
