What to say about this...! almost certainly the worst conditions I have ever raced in, and meant that any thoughts of strategy or really racing my usual rivals disappeared and I just wanted to survive! Incredibly windy, hail, massive amount of water underfoot, slushy snow patches, the only thing missing was poor visibility, but it was too windy for that!

Actually felt pretty fit for the most part, even with a lack of hills so far this year; so climbed okay, and descended as well as possible when it was an effort to run downhill into the wind. Managed a strava segment PR on the final descent which was almost sheltered!

Within a couple of mins of Es and Yeller, who also struggled with the conditions, and where usually there's 50 or so runners under the hour, this year there was 18!

Bonus spew at the finish was a result of the sheer effort of getting round...

Weirdly enjoyable, and given the circumstances didn't feel like a bad run!

Been struggling for time for the lunch runs at work (hectic, plus folk off sick) but hopefully that calms back down again. In the meantime, hour plus strides in the evening, and feeling good!
