Natasha persuaded me that I would regret not getting out today so hobbled my way around the course and really enjoyed it. Couple of mistakes, #1 messing around on the spur and getting the wrong re-entrant and another one getting the wrong gully.

Although I have been unable to get the most out of this week I really enjoyed learning about the terrain here and just having a nice trip away with everyone there. Especially thanks to Mark and Alice for inviting me and looking after us M/W20s.

So I only went and did the double fuck-up. Started the long today in case I was feeling better tomorrow so could be part of the chasing start but I fell over taking the contour route to #2. Went down on my left knee and caused a decent swelling and a decent showing of blood too. Very grateful for the first-aiders at the ambulance who cleaned and dressed it.

Needless to say I missed the sprint that afternoon too due to feeling even worse again, probs just demorallised

Did the Sprint WRE, which was basically a schools league course, at a very held back pace. Not feeling much better today and head still hurts. Although somehow I didn't come last, I paid attention at the start and got the right way to #1 and somehow got a 6th fastest split on a short route choice leg to #7 which could have been 3rd or faster had I been able to run fast today.

Feeling basically better now so decided to actually run this as it was the only course to do that day. That said was still singing a bit round the second half of it so not taking it that fast. Not even that much slower than Tom which felt nice.

Control pick. Messed up a few controls, learning in the new terrain.

Murcia O-Camp Day 1:
Feeling better than on Saturday and cold disappearing so resolved to take the first couple of days very easy in order the be better to be better by the races. After running to the start this morning I decided to leave Tom to do the course by himself (only two maps between 3 of us). Ran back and only did part of the course that afternoon too, again at a very low pace.
