400m ish repeats (My watch says it was a little over 400m. Our track is under construction, so we just run around the fields)

My knee started acting up so my one coach told me to run every 2 and then take one off. So I ran 9 repeats instead of 12. Then, my other coach implied that me and my also quasi injured teammates were just slacking off and doing ourselves a disservice. No Crawford. I would just like to not be in pain this whole weekend, thank you.
