20’ easy - 2x long hill reps - 20’ easy

Warm up as per plan

First 5’ felt my left hamstring tight I had noticed it whilst warming up too. However completely disappeared after the first 5’ And never felt it again or post run. Felt good there on in and into a nice rythym.

Heading into the first hill rep saw a cyclist ahead so had something to fix onto. Felt good but hard I was gradually gaining on the cyclist too and over took him about 4’ into the rep. Toward the top still felt good and strong. Took a good recovery between the two reps taking as long to descend the hill as it took me to ascend. Second rep felt like the first good but hard. Got to the top and completed the rep in the same time as the first one.

Last 20’ was feeling fine but took it easy to allow the legs to recover ahead of tomorrow’s session.

Post run stretch felt good and no problems with my hamstring overall a good session.

60’ easy with diaganols

Feeling really fresh in the legs tonight and soon into a nice rythym. No heaviness or tiredness in the legs.

Diaganols felt the best they’ve ever felt. Perfect form and each one seemed to get better. The 8th diaganols felt like I was flying.

Last 25’ continued like the first 25’. The whole run just felt easy and effortless.

Post stretch felt fine with no tightness bought myself a backballer today so looking forward to it arriving.

60’ easy and strideouts

Decided to opt for a run tonight as feeling good. Decided if I was to run I had to keep it really easy and keep the legs fresh. Warmed up as per plan and set off into the run feeling fine. Very wet tonight but just kept the run easy using the nature reserve at the back of the hospital so to keep if the road. Headed into strideouts with about 10’ of the run left. All strideouts felt spit on with really nice running form. Post stretch no problems.

20’ easy - 6x 60” hill repeats - 20’ easy

Warm up as per plan
First 20’ felt relatively good and legs feeling fairly fresh.

First 2 hill repeats felt decent and into a nice rythym. The last 4 were ok but could have been better probably could and should have pushed harder.

Last 20’ legs feeling ok just used the last part of the run to freshen/ recover the legs out.

Post stretch bit tight on my left glute but realeased fine on stretching / foam rolling.

60’ easy and 6x strideouts

Full warm up as per plan

Set off along the towpath. Legs feeling reasonably good a little heavy in the calf’s but no real fatigue. Kept the pace easy and hit a nice comfortable rythym. Felt nice to be out tonight. The legs were feeling good and fresh heading into strideouts.

Strideouts felt spot on. Kept my concentration through all 6 strideouts. In each strideouts felt like I kept really good form nice and light bouncy step too. Overall really happy with strideouts.

Set off in daylight and didn’t have to use the headtorch till about 30’ into the run. Was really warm and even when it went dark the temperature remained warm. Certainly didn’t feel like february.

Post run feeling good.

Monday Feb 25, 2019 #

Decided to do the bike session prior to work. Legs feeling heavy in particular my calf’s . First 20’ could feel the legs but there after the legs started to improve and felt that the session was freshening the legs up.

Post stretch felt good. Bit tight across my abdomen but otherwise feeling good.

Sunday Feb 24, 2019 #

2 hours moderate

Set off as usual too quick. Legs felt good and no real heaviness from yesterday’s run. The effort felt good and kept pace well. Chose country roads so a bit undulating but just kept the effort level at moderate. Last 30’ felt tougher managed to see it through but legs were tiring. Managed to keep the pace fairly even for the run.

Weather was perfect for running today hot but nice conditions. Post stretch all feeling good and a good session. Didn’t record heart rate as I think there an issue with the belt having changed the battery.
