Running (road) 1:32:40 [3] 12.05 mi (7:41 / mi) +189m 7:20 / mi
ahr:138 max:155

Catching up from this morning session. Set off and feeling better got into a nice rythym thought the car rally would be over yet it wasn’t. This made it tough again to find decent trail. With about an hour under the belt the run got tough and I had little energy an hour a and thirty into the run I just couldn’t get my head into the right place and cut the run short. Overall a really tough day and not sure why.

Running (road) 55:42 [3] 7.4 mi (7:32 / mi) +113m 7:11 / mi
ahr:135 max:151

3 hour moderate

Set off and was feeling hingry from the get go. I should have stopped had dinner and set off after lunch but I didn’t. Started to swallow air which meant I started to bloat. It was hard finding trail too as there was a car rally. Decide to stop after an hour and get lunch as I knew this session was doomed.

Running (road) 59:24 [3] 7.43 mi (8:00 / mi) +73m 7:45 / mi
ahr:132 max:157

60’ with diaganols

Warm up as per plan

Set off in rain and wind however once moving the weather soon improved and was more favourable to running. With one eye on tomorrow was keen to keep the legs steady and the pace easy. Felt fine and moving to a nice rythym.

Diaganols - first diaganol felt poor. But from there on in they seemed to improve. By the 8th felt reasonably good with good form.

Overall a steady comfortable run with no problems.

Strength tx 45:00 [3]

Same session as Monday

Turbo session 1:00:02 [3]
ahr:103 max:110

60’ bike

Wanted to do the run tonight and was all set to go however went to the dentist after work and had to have a filling. So in the end decided the bike maybe a better choice.

The legs felt fine and were ticking over nicely. No fatigue from yesterday’s session felt. Kept the resistance light and preparing the legs ahead of this weekends session.

Overall feeling fine and no issues.

Running (road) 1:10:52 [3] 8.52 mi (8:19 / mi) +143m 7:54 / mi
ahr:126 max:162

20’ easy - 6x60” hill interval - 20’ easy

Set off and feeling ok but a little sluggish in the legs. Kept the pace easy in preparation for the hill repeats.

Started the hill intervals and soon realised that I hadn’t eaten enough at lunch plus I started to feel hungry. Determined not to do 6 poor quality hill intervals I decided to just throw myself at them. Overall hill intervals felt decent in the end.

Last 20’ was just get home and get the run done. The pace was easy as i didn’t have the energy to do anything else post hill intervals.

ahr:134 max:190

60' easy and strideouts (x6)

Warm up as per plan

Did the run on the road tonight was wanting to hit the canal towpath but just too wet and muddy with the recent wet weather. was raining for tonight run too. Set off and quickly got into a nice rhythm. With that the run felt effortless the legs felt light and moving well. At one point zoned out that much forgot i was running. everything just felt good my stride, my energy etc.
Strideouts felt nice and concentrated on each phase of the strideout. Lost count halfway through so dare say I probably did 7.

Strength tx 45:00 [3]

S and C

Same session as Thursday
5 PM

Turbo session 1:00:17 [3]
ahr:94 max:105

60’ bike

Feeling fairly fresh in the legs and seemed well recovered from yesterday’s session and this mornings strength training. Kept the resistance light and found that sweat spot of enough resistance to keep the legs turning but not overly fatiguing. Post ride still feeling fresh.

Running (road) 2:55:58 [3] 22.89 mi (7:41 / mi) +147m 7:32 / mi
ahr:139 max:151

3hrs moderate

Warm up as per plan

Again strong winds today but hopefully looks like the weather will improve from tomorrow onwards. Set off feeling fresh and occasionally met a headwind every now and then during the first 1hr40’. Then it was a head wind to home. After 2hrs I was expecting to suddenly bonk but still felt good.

Kept going well till about 2hrs 30’ then the session started to bite. Not only was I batling a headwind but now fighting my own physiology. I knew I just needed to keep going albeit at a slower pace. All in all a good session.
