20’ easy - 2x10’ long hill reps -20’ easy

Will speak to you about today’s session later on but reverted back to the original plan.

The hill reps felt tough but the majority of the climb is I the first 7’ then it seems to dip down and up a bit. Each effort felt hard but was able to maintain it for the 10’

The cool down felt ok and the legs didn’t seem fatigued or tiered.

60' easy and diaganols

Legs felt good and ticking over nicely into a nice rythym from the outset. Diaganols felt poor couldnt hit my stride the ground was pretty shitty underfoot so just not able to get the traction. last bit of the run felt good legs still felt fresh.

Felt weary in the legs but ok. The pace was never hard so just tried to freshen the legs up. The climb up Nicky nook still feels tough but getting there. Kept the descent very relaxed.

60' easy 6x strideouts

Ran on the roads near me. was packed suddenly running has become very popular. felt fine from the offset legs a tad bit heavy but not uncomfortable. feel mentally tiered today but able to keep a nice easy pace. Strideouts felt decent did this on the field at the back of me keeping on the grass. Glute feel as though there kicking in nicely too.

Legs felt fine. Sweating buckets but should have knocked the heating off beforehand.

PM gave a press conference unsurprisingly we’ve got lockdown but I can go to work and I can still run or cycle outdoors. Not sure if we're allowed to travel to the hills. I suppose we’ll get more detail in the morning.

80’ easy (undulating)

Went over clougha again today. They’ve (Dutchy estate) locked the car park gate but kept the fell open. I’m not sure what they thought it would achieve but basically all the cars were parked down the road in all the passing places. And with the weather being good there were lots of people out probably the busiest I’ve seen it.

nonetheless didn’t effect my run. Ran up to the top of grit fell and felt like I’ve made real success today as seem to find a gear in the legs were I could just keep going at a steady pace without my HR spiking up msssively and feeling quite comfortable. Descended back to the car the legs felt good and not overly tiered. Overall fairly successful.
