20’ easy - 4x 5’ hill reps - 20’ easy

Ran at clougha weather terrible.

The hill reps felt the worse I’d done they felt hard and battling the headwind. This is a hard session to begin with so the weather just added a further element of toughness. Each one felt progressively harder. The last one felt really tough.

The run back to the car felt good but then I had a tail wind.

Felt good tonight legs felt free flowing loads of energy and felt nice to be in fresh air.

Hill sprints felt really good nice high knee and pushing through the hips.

Felt good and fresh this morning. You’d said recent moderates had probably been run too fast so tried to back of the pace and effort. The pace felt comfortable. Legs felt good throughout the wind help slow me down too.

Slept well last night but still woke feeling tiered. Work is just mental at the moment.

Mainly ran on trail tonight but with a touch of road running too. I kept the pace very light tonight the legs felt heavy and I’m being sensible ahead of tomorrow’s moderate. I felt heavy in my legs initially but gradually started to feel fresher as the run progressed by the end felt good and really looking forward to running tomorrow. I’m slowly starting to learn to keep the easy days really easy so that the hard days can be run hard.

Strideouts felt good legs felt fresh and relaxed.

Warm up - felt good moving well and feeling fresh.

Felt good tonight I had a new pair of trainers on and I don’t know wether it was placebo but felt I could push without a massive effort. Went with perceived effort and ran on feel. Probably ran a bit quicker than I should but felt fine with the pace.

Cool down - felt good, not too shabby post fartlek.
