80’ progression run

First 20’ just kept a nice light pace gathered myself together and made sure I was warmed. Set of not too fast but knew that very quickly that I was feeling good. That said I didn’t push myself too much to begin with as I knew the importance of the session is not blowing up from setting off too quickly. I just kept picking the pace up but by bit and felt good and in cobtrol.

Weather was awful with rain but didn’t seem to cause me too many issues. Cool down back to the house felt ok just wanted to get out the rain so was just letting the legs relax.

Happy with the session and felt like I nailed it.

Ran in the new carbon x 2s and liked them a lot. The runner is less forgiving underfoot which I like too.

60’ easy 6xhill sprints

Ran with Anna. I like doing this at the moment because I run slow and proper easy which hopefully means I can run fully hard and fast when I need too. I don’t think it’s doing my running any harm.

But chilly out but the legs felt super comfortable and never felt fatigued. Hill sprints I did on my own but felt really sharp and fresh was very satisfying.

Feeling very fresh tonight no aches or pains legs free flowing and into a nice rythym fairly quick. Never felt strenuous or overly fatiguing.

Strideouts felt good pushing through the legs nicely. The bit of hip flexor pain felt yesterday had all gone.

20’ easy - 25’ uphill tempo - jog back down

Filthy weather. Rain and wind for most of the run. Set off from the road rather than the car park just so that I could stretch the warm up out a little.

Set off into the tempo up clougha. Felt good and moving well. Perhaps could have pushed it a little more on the climb but ran at a fairly decent intensity. Still struggling to get enough climb but because I set off from the road got a bit more than I did last time.

Jog back felt fine but right in my right hip flexor but stretched it off and feels as though it’s settled down nicely. Really enjoy these session missing the hills a bit now so nice to get on the trails.

Felt fairly fresh legs nicely flowing and found a nice rythym.

Diaganols felt great really nice to turn the legs over a touch quicker. Really happy that the legs feel fresh.

Ran nice relaxed pace with Anna. Fairly chilly out but felt really comfortable through out the run. Never felt hard out fatiguing. Strideouts felt good legs felt fresh.

Ran over Nicky nook felt good to be out on the trails. But muddy in parts but fairly good underfoot. Kept a nice easy pace and the legs felt good and relatively fresh. Pretty nippy out today with a cold wind. Didn’t seem to bother me and just kept ticking along.
