60’ easy 6xstrideouts

Ran pre break fast. Weather was a bit overcast but warm. Took the first 15’ to get into the flow but once I did felt ok and gradually started to feel more with it. Legs felt far better than the previous day.

Strides felt really good the legs felt strong happy to get the session done and get sone breakfast.

Friday May 28 #

Running (trail/fell) 1:02:17 [3] 8.05 mi (7:44 / mi)

60’ easy 6xstrideouts

Ran on the nature reserve. Legs felt heavy quads and calf’s (again). Felt slow and sluggish but kept the run flowing. Still felt aches towards the end but moving well. Energy levels felt good too.

Strides felt heavy but ok. By amazing but I think the legs appreciated them.

Thursday May 27 #

Running (road) 1:26:49 [3] 11.34 mi (7:39 / mi) +109m 7:26 / mi

1hr 30’ easy

Ran in the nice evening sun. Calf’s and hamstrings felt tiered today. Plenty of energy which was a bit of a surprise. Found a rythym and just went with it. Felt easy and never felt overly fatiguing. Just kept going.

Few issues with the watch ( it’s now not holding charge) new watch bough but the delivery from garmin is 5-8 weeks (eeek).

1hr 45’ moderate

Swapped the training round as I had more time today.

Ran at a nice pace it just felt a perfect moderate effort and I just Ramon feel. My watch showed the time and nothing else. The only feedback I used was how I felt. I felt good from the start and just got into a rythym which I stick with for the whole session. I could have kept the effort going for another hour I reckon. Legs felt fresh and no issues. Glute possibly a bit tight but didn’t feel it when running. Got a nettle sting half way through which was annoying but no concerns.

Sauna 20’ in the evening. Can tell I’ve not been in their for over 6/12 felt good once sone.

Tuesday May 25 #

Running (trail/fell) 1:20:36 [3] 10.25 mi (7:52 / mi) +117m 7:36 / mi

80’ easy 6xstrideouts

Ran on the nature reserve post work. Did three laps and felt comfortable. Stopped myself from going quick and upping the effort. Legs felt fresh although hindered on places by the headwind which was whipping up.

Strideouts felt good legs felt fresh and eager to run tomorrow’s session.

Monday May 24 #

Running (trail/fell) 1:05:09 [3] 8.27 mi (7:53 / mi) +81m 7:39 / mi

60’ easy 6xstrideouts

Ran on the back of the nature reserve at the back of the hospital. Very muddy out and slipeery. Felt sluggish and quads / calf’s felt heavy but actually not too bad. Maybe a bit tight in my hips only really felt that on the strideouts as I increased my stride length.

Strides felt good and comfortable legs felt ok but not 100%

Sunday May 23 #

Running (road) 1:29:25 [3] 11.39 mi (7:51 / mi) +129m 7:35 / mi

90’ easy

Weather was so poor again today. Worked this morning so ventured out this afternoon. Ran the first 1.5 miles with Anna then cracked on, on my own.

Felt good. Legs felt fine and not particularly fatigued from yesterday. Found a good rythym and just ticked along. Bit troublesome in the wind but just kept the legs run timing. Felt cold by the end so was glad I wasn’t out much longer.

Strength tx 35:00 [3]

Side adductor planks
Reverse crunch
Hamstring ball curl

Reverse plank with leg raises
