20’ easy - 5x2k with 2’ recovery - 20’ easy

Got your email this morning and whilst hot today didn’t feel muggy or humid. I decided to stay on a loop so that I could have water close by. By pure luck the loop was exactly 2km (to the centimetre).

Set of on the first 2k loop and felt really good. I didn’t push as hard as I could of just trying to be conservative and I think that served me well toward the end of the session. The 2nd and 3rd laps were really good and I started to realise I was flying round. Complete contrast to Wednesday. It was warm but it wasn’t affecting me at all. 4th lap I pushed and try to push my limit. I felt good and the final lap I put everything out and still felt good and strong not as tiered as I thought would have been.

Overall happy and back on track doing laps with water there if needed was the wisest decision I’ve made this week.

Ran home from work. Nice out but feels fresher than compared to the start of the week. Legs feel fresher too. Got into a nice rythym and just allowed the legs to relax. Felt nice and controlled. Felt ok.

Strides felt good really pushing through the hips and allowed the legs the opurtunity to freshen up a bit.

Ran with Anna post work. The weathers taken a turn for the cooler side. Legs felt shattered o felt shattered. Ran at very relaxed conversational pace. Just trying to allow my legs and body to recover. At least I’m able to sleep now.

Strides felt good legs felt strong.

Set off and it felt hot (26degrees). I’d only managed 2 hours of sleep due to the heat but had eaten and drunk well however I think I’ve drunk water but without replacing my electrolytes/ minerals.

Even the warm up felt tough and I knew I was struggling in the heat. Somehow I just thought I’d get it done.

Set off and the heat built within the first 5k. The running I’m more than capable of but this was feel neaseous and dizzy again. I kept telling myself just do another 5k thinking I could try and push it to the end but I had to stop and I couldn’t get going again I’d just over heated.

Even running home easy felt horrible and I coy oh d settle into a rythym I just wanted to stop and sit in the shade. Got home and immediately had a cold shower but even that felt warm. It probably took another couple of hours before I’d cooled off fully. I’m certainly not built for this weather. My sleeping is poor and it’s knocking me for 6. I thinks it’s also a big shock to the system considering I ran in cool rainy conditions last week.

Ran home from work. Felt warm out even at 6pm. Found a rythym and kept it going. Legs didn’t feel too bad but calves a little sore.

Energy levels felt good and been drinking / eating well.

Hill sprints felt strong really pushing through the glutes felt good on it.

The morning sun was strong again with little shade. Kept a easy pace that didn’t feel too much for the heat. Legs felt ok and was surprised that they weren’t heavier then they were.

Strides felt great legs moving well and felt strong. Now to drink lots of water.

Disgusting. It was so hot out I really struggled not with fitness but with the heat. I feel fit my legs felt fine my breathing was good.but I felt sick and dizzy and had to stop a couple of times. I had left the session to later on in the day and drunk water through out the day but I wasn’t prepared for the heat in all honesty. It was only 22degrees but it was a shock to the system. If the conditions had been cooler I’d have lapped this session up.
