Strength 30:00 [5]
Being a competitive family, we tested each other in holding-hands-out-the-longest-wearing-three-pound-weight-gloves (I managed 4 mins!), push-ups, sit-ups, and balances.

Thursday Jan 24

Walking long (Wildwood (out back)) 1:40:00 [3] 12 km (8:20 / km)
shoes: Vasque Velocity 7627 (2)
Went exploring in the light green out back. Crossed a swamp on a beaver dam.
Rick and I set up an adventure involving compass and pace through there for the Wednesday kids.

Wednesday Jan 23

Orienteering (Wildwood) 2:00:00 [3] 12 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Vasque Velocity 7627 (2)
Wednesday regular stuff- the Great Balloon Exchange, which is similar to the rubber chicken race, by memory, then some low-key intervals.

Monday Jan 21

Manual Labor (Wood Hauling) 30:00 [3]
shoes: Vasque Velocity 7627 (2)
Wood hauling makes for good strength training. Rick and I rolled a new chopping block out from the back, which was difficult, and then we piled branches, which were covered in frost and frozen together, but pretty, sparkling in the sunlight.
Cartography (Elevations) 1:10:00 [1]
shoes: Vasque Velocity 7627 (2)
Out back, Rick and I took elevations of the 4 Firs area of the map- the part the Jr High kids mapped this year. I held the rod while Rick sighted until we had to go in from the cold.
