XC Skiing (Wildwood) 1:00:00 [3] 13.33 km (4:30 / km)
out through the Four Firs and Quinn's Crossing to Paradise Lk Rd, where we saw a couple of cars be defeated by the snow
Cartography ((well, sort of)) 1:00:00 [2]
Ryan and I built a scale model of the solar system out of snow- or tried to. We ended up having to make distances 1:66666666666 and planet diameters 1:666666666 and even then, it was a little hard to see Pluto and fit the model on the neighbors' field. The only issue that was really problematic, though, was the Sun. We were going for about a meter in diameter, but the two of us working together weren't strong enough to roll it into place.
Then I made pretty snow sculptures: a snow-lady and a ginormous snow cat (the size of a black bear). Ryan made Kilroy on our back deck.
That part wasn't cartographic, though.

Swimming (YMCA Pool) 1:00:00 [5]
It was really hard! I haven't been swimming in at least several months, and am quite out of the habit. I felt a bit pathetic, actually, what with Eileen lapping me. We broke off to tread water after a while.
