The struggle - taking it easier, not spiking above 185 hr. Was about 2 minutes slower than last time (this time 23:47). I've decided there's no way to get up the struggle without feeling exhausted at the top though. It was rainy the over side of Kirkstone pass so I descended back to Ambleside and headed toward Grasmere, but it was drizzling so I went back to my car and read for half an hour. After this I headed up Loughrigg terrace, quite tricky on road tyres. Then to Blea tarn which is a cracking climb. The official segment starts on the flat bit at the bottom which I was chilling on

actual climb https://veloviewer.com/segments/19970342/ 4:45, 1367 VAM, KOM at 3:08 I'm 52% off.

I like the steeper climbs I think. To replicate these on less steep climbs I should just go into a higher gear and get out of my saddle, I always lose speed when I stand up in the same gear compared to sitting.

Going past Blea Tarn itself was a pain, filming for the Witcher meant loads of rude van drivers. Back to the car from here.

I'd walked some distance and climb for about 2 hours in the morning.
