Running 18:00 [1] 3.0 km (6:00 / km) +30m 5:43 / km

Back from the Fenton because by heck am I getting an uber home.

A short but important review of each of the pubs we managed to visit.

Headingley taps: 6/10 Lots of outside tables, not a great selection of beers, killed our ABBAsalutely wonderful fancy dress fun and we had to go back and change into quieter clothes.

Head of steam: 9/10, really cool, lots of nice and interesting beers, free pool apparently as well.

Brewdog: 8/10 a bit spenny but a great choice of beer

Hyde Park: 3/10, staff that really didn't want to be there, only one ale on tap, we didn't get to sit outside despite booking to (I think)

Library: 6/10, friendly but still a bit poor for drinks, food very good.

LS2 store/woodhouse moor: 7/10, I was able to get an icecream and a 50p isotonic drink in my alltime favourite artificial drink flavour - blue (powerade, slush puppy, vk...), only place with daisies widely available to make a chain out of, lost marks for being cold and icecream not lasting longer.

Dry Dock: 3/10, very noisy and had been pressured into clearing my £10 deposit with jager bombs hahaha no, shivering outside until we could move downstairs, novelty of being in a boat is lost as soon as you step inside.

Fenton: 7/10, chilled and a proper pub.

West Nab fell race. So much fun!!! I'd drunk over a litre of water I think in the couple of hours beforehand, but due to only having breakfast at 12:30 and then driving, I forgot to eat my banana wrap for lunch until 5 minutes before the earliest the race could start. It ended up being 30 minutes before but I didn't have any issues so 30 minutes might be optimum for something little. We were in 3 waves of about 35 which was a good number to race with, I set out conservatively not knowing how I would react to running in the heat (the first hot race of the year I usually feel dreadful). I overtook most of my heat who were ahead of me on the main downhill before getting overtaken on the small uphill, I then was a bit too tired to push enough to recatch on the flatter downhills before the 30% final climb. A couple of people overtook me on this, but I was able to easily pass one on the descent and managed to close in on the other and pass him with a few hundred metres to go. Within the last 100m of the track he surged past me which forced me to match his speed, I then took the 120 degree corner before the finish field aggresively and managed to get back into the lead and I beat him by a few seconds in the end, my fastest kilometer according to strava (2:50) which is 10 seconds quicker than my previous.
13th in 43:08, winner was 6 minutes faster.

Feeling horrendous, my lower legs felt swollen and solid like they do occasionally, not sure why this happens, I hadn't really stood up all day which may be a factor. Also feeling really annoyed that I only finished work past 9.

Last of the spring sprints, alright apart from 4-8 when I was running far too fast without care for navigation, I lost a lot of time to 8 but many appeared to also - the vegetation wasn't correct which I think stopped most people going as far along the slope as was necessary. It was very slippy with mud and bluebells and there was a lot more undergrowth than was mapped. I was wearing a woollen baselayer to try to overheat whilst running in prep for the british middles where I think it's going to be quite warm, but it turned out it wasn't actually that warm so it didn't make me feel uncomfortable. https://www.aire.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#212&co...

I couldn't get into the game much at all, my first touch was dreadful today. We were playing 6 against 7 and it seemed like there was never really any space and always playing against a wall.

Cycling 14:22 intensity: (1:00 @0) + (7:38 @1) + (3:44 @2) + (1:29 @3) + (12 @4) + (19 @5) 4.75 km (19.8 kph) +14m

Darts 1:00:00 [0] 0.05 km (20:00:00 / km)

Beat Dad at everything for the first time, he seemed to be bottling it as he is still better than me, it's tiring standing up for so long
