Jukola leg 3 for ShUOC. Such a fun race, at times it felt like my nav was going poorly but I made up 221 places for the team so can't have been too bad. Often felt like the trains were doing worse than I was alone, so kept leaving them for my own route choice which worked. Not the fastest race but I was safe and didn't lose too much time so I'm pretty happy with it.

Laukkoski Night-O Training. Night-O trains, first half didn't go very well due to the 1996 map... but really enjoyed the last two loops and nav'd well in the dark. Good to get some night-o done before Jukola, would have liked more but ShUOC were tired.

Hakunila-Nybygget Orienteering training. First 6 controls as a talk-o with Tenty and then did some more by myself. Some good nav apart from one terrible control in a parallel error.

Hakunila-Nybygget Orienteering training 2. Clock relay around a technical rocky hill in a team with Evan. One very poor control where I went to low down the hill, the rest were fine.

WC Middle Mens Course - Tervalampi. Followed behind ShUOC collecting tapes. Was going to race it but then caught Connor and then Bertie so decided to talk-O, taking it in turns to nav. Would have liked to race it but probably best I didn't.

Sammalisto Orienteering. Area was pretty rubbish and map was out of date due to lots of recent felling. Nav was fine where the map was correct.

Sammalisto Orienteering training 2. Map was much better than this morning and there was only 1 patch of felling. Did a ShUOC chasing start of 45 sec intervals. Caught most people by #3 and then ran the course with Spam as he'd 'lost' his compass.

Bisa-Bakunkarr Orienteering training. Managed to nail the 1st 2 controls but then majorly screwed up the 3rd. Also disappeared into a bog and spent some time pulling myself out...

WC Spectator Sprint. Just taking it easy as didn't want to ruin the week's training. Nailed the nav and was good practice not getting distracted by all the other spectators.

Went for a '20 min' loop and managed to lose most of ShUOC so me, Tomos & Dan went exploring in the woods.
