Orienteering race (S6D Day 6) 26:23 [5] 3.91 km (6:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talons 212 CL

10th

Pretty fun course especially with a late start. Was essentially a set the compass and pick a track that went in the right direction. Stupid parallel error at 5 cost me a good result but v happy with my nav other than that.

Orienteering race 1:08:06 [5] 8.69 km (7:50 / km)

Ooft what a shit show.

Didn't start great with me arriving to the start as my time went to the first box. Spiked 1 great but then made a big mistake to 2. Think I drifted right too much then was left wandering around. After that just felt mentally and physically broken. Shit route to 8 and was feeling pretty dead on my feet. Gel didn't help much and was considering retiring but Course was pretty much going straight back then. Spend a good time lying shuddering on the ground after my run so think something wasn't right. Not a great day out..

Rapid.

Orienteering race (S6D Day 4) 51:03 [5] 8.36 km (6:06 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talons 212 CL

7th

Clean for pretty much the whole course so happy. Was hesitant to 7 but didn't seem to lose any time. Twisted my ankle again after forgetting to tape it on the way to 10 but managed to run it off fairly quickly. Hesitant again to 11 but doesn't look like any noticeable time loss

Running 7:01 [2] 0.96 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talons 212 CL

Got back and realized that my bag with all my food and water was still up at the start so had to start jogging up that way. Wasn't looking forward to going up that hill again but luckily they were being brought down before I got there :)

Orienteering race (S6D Day 3) 28:15 [5] 3.26 km (8:40 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talons 212 CL

10th

Again some decent nav just lacking the speed. Didn't trust the compass to 2 and got distracted by another control then hit the wrong control at 7 but relocated quickly. Pierre caught me at 10 after I was a bit hesitant going into 9 then a slow route to 13 through the grot also wasn't great. Overall fairly happy just need to trust myself slightly more.

Running warm up/down 6:33 [2] 0.95 km (6:54 / km)

Long WU to the start

Orienteering race (S6D Day 2) 50:19 [5] 7.21 km (6:59 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talons 212 CL

14th

Much better today just slower due to the lack of tracks. Only minor mistakes were 9 (aimed off to far) and 10 (where I just couldn't find the control feature). Somehow had a worse result than yesterday despite a much better race but just shows how important tracks are.

Running warm up/down 9:54 [2] 1.54 km (6:26 / km)
