NOEL 800 B race - 2nd

Knew that today was just going to be a bit of fun as there was no chance of any PBs so put myself up for quite a few events trying to get as much points for the club. Didn't risk doing any of them in spikes as didn't want to aggravate any niggles and I think this was a good idea.

Never been good at 800m but was in the B race so thought I'd give it a decent shot to try and get the win. Went to the front after the break then stayed up near the top (apart from a guy who paced it off the front) for a leisurely 74s lap. PAssed that guy and was just me and another runner. Couldn't keep with him on the back straight then didn't quite have enough on the home straight.

Pretty fun race but really slow. Similar time to this time last year which is probably a good representation of where I am at the moment.

Running warm up/down 7:17 [1] 1.28 km (5:41 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 36

Grass pitch right next to the track was much appreciated in the quest for dirty miles.

NOEL 1500 - 2nd B runner ?

Again not expecting much from this race so just tucked in at a decent pace from the start. Was caught off the back of the front group and in front of any people but came back together. Realise I was leading the B race until someone came past me at the end, bit annoying.

Lap times: 76,81, 83, 55

Running warm up/down 5:08 [2] 0.87 km (5:54 / km)
shoes: Asics Patriot 10

Keeping moving before the most punterish 200 possible...

Lil bit of Penlands action before heading south. Plan was just to do Allermuir then go back but was tempted into Caplaw aswell. Questionable route back on some sheep tracks but thoroughly enjoyable run. Just wish I could have been out for longer..
