Running the 2008 BOC long at Culbin with Dad. Lovely area as usual. Nav alright and physically fine before starting to bonk a bit after 2 hours. Strava reckons 2 hours of moving time which is about right as we spent quite a while checking we were at each control

First half the light was ok then had to get the torch out. Nice area just a bit vague when it was dark. Achillies was a bit sore towards the end

O round Loch Vaa w/ Dad

On a 20 year old map at 1:15000 but was actually better than I thought. Map was basically the same even the vegetation and opens most of the time incredibly. Nav pretty good just generally not going far enough but thats probably just cause of the scale. Was running out of time a bit so went straight back missing out the last few controls and got an absolute beating from dad going through the heather. Let him enjoy dropping me for once
