Too knackered after yesterday and I just couldn't do it. When the heath comes this quickly in May, I just cant cope with it.
As it was Middle , I had entered a Brown, but the climb was too much.

The hottest day of the year on Holme Fells (Lake District by Coniston).
I entered blue and was out for almost 2 hours.
I ran with a Camelbak and that was lucky as I got very dehydrated.
Made some mistakes and some poor route choices. Not my best...

On the upside, I had a fab time camping with Judith. We had spectacular weather and a swim in Lake Coniston post run.

Absolutely epic lesson on Dax. With the new single rein, he goes much freer
and no bucking, humping or getting up tight.
Lots of leg yield, even in canter. Towards the end he was feeling himself and the last leg yield was in gallop......
