Running 30:05 [2] 3.25 mi (9:15 / mi)
slept:5.5 shoes: Saucony DXN Vintage

Planning a long run but the heel of my left foot has not been holding up so I instead decided on doing a shorter 5K loop x 2 in the treadmill. Yesterday's Cinderella trail race was a fun event (and a colorful one) I saw a few runners in Cinderella costumes. Another volunteer Cathy and me shared the same enthusiasm assisting runners as they cross the road, hooray to volunteering. Congrats to Josh for placing 2nd in his age group and 4th over all.
8 PM

Running 26:50 [3] 3.24 mi (8:17 / mi)
slept:5.5 shoes: Nike Free RN 2017

I felt just fine 26 minutes into my second 5K, which surprised me a little bit. I should plan to add a 3rd loop into this progression run but maybe not this week. Five minute cool down while simultaneously getting pulled into Machida v. Belfort for UFC 224. My friend Kevin was going for the recognizable Belfort while I was on a hindsight routing for the raw talent of Machida.

Mixed my training with a visit to the free weights and machines. Bench Press, Incline Press, Decline Press, Should flys, Should press, and Lat Pull row.
Ran into my friend Jonathan from MVARC as I was cooling down, declined his offer to run Saturday at Steven's Creek trail and opted instead to attend Cinderella trail race in Oakland.

Running long 1:18:59 [4] 10.4 mi (7:36 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony DXN Vintage

Steven's Creek to Bay Trail with MVARC running solo for 2 miles and catching up with Bernard, Haruka, and Reiner running with them for the duration of my long run. Thick group of flies in the Bay Trail today which did not bother me. Few weeks back one of the park rangers closed part of Bay Trail for a "helicopter spray" it will be nice to have one of those scheduled soon.
