2 x Hilly forest loop all on trail
Felt like I had a lot more in the tank than yesterday
Legs felt good - little ache in the right knee at the top of last climb at 20km.
Longest run since the marathon and felt pretty comfortable

Friday May 4 #

Easy run on majority trail.
Legs felt fresh and right hip flexor loose.
Otherwise felt really lethargic and like nothing in the tank. Think likely a combination of post-marathon and poor diet the last week.
Right knee has not ached today and wasn't noticeable whilst running.

Thursday May 3 #

Right knee aching anteriorly around patella tendon
Totally pain free to run on but rested it today as don’t want it to develop into anything
Easy hour on the bike pain free

S&C 45:00 [1]

S&C 3 sets without Swiss ball exercises
Right flute bridge a struggle and left runners touch all over the place still

Wednesday May 2 #

Trail
Minor DOMS post-S&C
Easy loops with short hill. Steady ups and easy flats/downs.
Right leg felt tight for first 3 km but eased up for the rest of the run.
Otherwise no complaints.

Struggled with Runners Touch - left side lacked control

Easy Towpath/Trail
Cardiovascular feels like it’s almost recovered
Both calves felt tight for first 2 miles from weekend back in hills/low drop shoes but soon loosened up.
Right hip flexor a bit tight but fine after 5km

Run out to Shotover - 4.5 hilly trail miles.
Easy effort
Calves tired from being back in hills.
Otherwise felt fine but cardiovascular felt like was working harder on the ups than the pace.
