Jukola - DVOA team, leg 3. Sweesecheese said to me before the race - that after doing this leg at Jukola I will become real men. Went out fine - concervative at dusk first error was 1 min on #8, than it became lighter, and my HR dropped and I stated to pile up some errors - by the time I was done with this I had about 12 min of errors. Solid effort physically, definitely need more experience in such type of events to make it better.

I woke up early this morning and felt like running, so I went running - the wind was picking up and the rain just stopped, T - 10 C. Legs are tired from hard work yesterday.

good map tough terrain, a lot of different age clear cut areas some overgrown some not, a lot of thash running and soft footing. made some errors in reading veg. boudaries, lost a trail once - was quite dehidrated at the end - will rest from now till my leg at Jukola.

before Qual. Sprint at WC - a lot of famous faces around, Novikov and Khramov are shorter then I thought. Talked to Swisscheese for a while. No stress.

I gave it all I had, still had 1 min error on 3, and small hasitations may be 15-20 sec, but my speed is nowhere close to WC quality. I had no issues with punching with Emit, may be 2 or 3 times needed to turn my body in some funny way.

Legs felt better than I expected, misspunch control #2 there were two controls in the circle 20m apart - they warned us about controls being close during qualifications, but said nothing about it for finals - I am surprised that no one protested. I liked the woods section - I was able to catch a guy who passed me earler. missed around 1.5 min on the course on small errors

easy run in Vaasa on a local lit ski trail at 10PM local time - it was bright, moskitos were out and so was I. The name of this park trail is Ratabana - 2,63 km, and rather flat. Incorporated some tempo on 1 loop
