Orienteering race (Red) 1:04:02 [5] *** 9.5 km (6:44 / km) +330m 5:45 / km
ahr:161 max:173 spiked:13/14c shoes: OLWAY Tiger 2004
Lost 13 min on first conrtol on parallel error - then had a great run - pushed hard, minor hasitations after bomb on #1. I had to go back to the start - had no clue where I was, only figured it all out after finish by looking at different course map. Last time I had a bomb like that was in 1984 :)
Orienteering race (Sprint) 17:58 [5] **** 3 km (5:59 / km) +115m 5:02 / km
ahr:166 max:173 spiked:12/14c shoes: OLWAY Tiger 2004
Evening sprint - blisters from the morning run bothered me, but I ran well - still ~ 1 min of minor hasitations mistakes and corrections. Will ran it in 14:28 - that is fast.
Orienteering (compass work) 50:00 [3] **** 6 km (8:20 / km) +30m 8:08 / km

Compass work training in Tucson set by Eric and Tom. Very unusual terrain with cactus features all over. I started well for first 4 controls and than got lost several times. Time includes warm up with the map.

Orienteering 1:08:00 [3] *** 9.5 km (7:09 / km) +305m 6:10 / km

Training with Kseniya, Z-man and Valeriy in JH-LM Park - 2 in of frozen snow on the ground. Course was 8.1 km, I had 1 big lapse, when I did not watch compass going down hill over barbaris prickles - turned 90 deg and then spent 3 min standing around, trying to figure out what happened - total 5 min error. Knee handled two days of work with no problems, but it is not 100% yet.
