road run warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3 km (6:40 / km) +20m 6:27 / km
slept:6.0 shoes: VJ-Integrators-2006
before and after the race
Orienteering race (Classic - Red) 1:16:22 [4] **** 10.5 km (7:16 / km) +280m 6:25 / km
spiked:15/20c shoes: VJ-Integrators-2006
Red Y - Long at NAOC - Klondike SF - very low energy in the beginning - was able to pick some effort later - made one large error - directional on 14 - 2.5 min - other tan that - 30sec on 1, 1 min on 4, my rout to 5 was 1 min too long, 30 sec on 11, 30 sec on 12, and 30 sec on 18. 1:13:07 was best time by Laslo. Very tired after the race - 4 races in less than 48 hours is way too much for me. My fitness lever held barely for this challenge. I think people who propose racing in such format for veterans do not understand physiological consequences of racing for aging human body.

road run warm up/down 25:00 [2] 4 km (6:15 / km) +25m 6:04 / km
slept:5.0 shoes: VJ-Integrators-2006

Orienteering race (Red - Middle) 42:08 [5] **** 6 km (7:01 / km) +180m 6:06 / km
spiked:15/19c shoes: VJ-Integrators-2006
It was so dark in the woods during rain that I had to stop every time to read the map - a lot of damage control tactics because of that - great map and terrain. The only mistake I made on 3rd control - trying to read my map on the run , my compass skills saved me there from bigger time loss - only 40 sec - than I started to use buletproof routs or super precise compass and it worked: hasitations - 30 sec on 4 in the circle - reading the map, 30 sec on 6 just to make sure I was in the right place,

Sprint Qual - I was the first starter in 1 m grass terrain - became 48-th out of 100+ without mistakes, just some hasitations. Not the best routs though.

spiked:20/20c shoes: Puma - Narabota XC Green
Sprint Final - full effort - first starter in the final again, but the course was fare and I had a clean run, speed died last km or so. Best time was 17:56 - Mike Smith.

Note
testing TracTrac in NYC - second half of ING Marathon
road run long 2:00:31 22.5 km (5:21 / km) +150m 5:11 / km
ahr:140 max:159 slept:7.0 weight:152lbs shoes: Adidas Boston
tested second half of NYC marathone route with TracTrac - GPS reception was poor along First Avenue, need to retest it with two units one more time. 2.5 km was commute to subway and back. Felt good, no mechanical problems - a little tired at the end.
