Super nice venue, on the side of open hill, beautiful pine forest - fast and open. Lots of work ahead. for now mind is on the race.

race (Middle M45+) 29:15 intensity: (2:00 @2) + (3:02 @3) + (8:58 @4) + (15:15 @5) **** 4.0 km (7:19 / km) +130m 6:17 / km

started OK, then had 3 controls in a row messed up - 1.5 min on 5 - parallel error, 2 min on 6 - unmapped trail - shell read mappers notes carefully, 20 sec on 7 - directional error. pushed hard after that but the game was over - Sergey was 24:45.

shoes: Puma - Narabota XC Brown

getting lost in the Yosemite with Z-man - what an experience - trail lost in the snow, granite bare rocks 300-500 m long, found a slope that looked like Trondheim with sloping open marshes and scattered pines, vague contour forms. eventually we found our way back to the car. The water in the mounting streams was super refreshing - cold and clear.
