3 west loops and one east loop at Lapland Lake - skiing with Speedy. Morning temp. -12C, by the time we finished -2C. Nicely groomed for the conditions, but some spots are very thin, almost bare.
Back to Z-man's home to NJ to watch Super Bowl and lobster dinner.

Skiing @ Lapland Lake with Speedy - 2 full loops. Fast hard snow, some icy spots, temps just above freezing. Fresh legs and arms helped to keep the pace and survive 2 hrs without food or drink. Stopped for 1 hr brake and lunch after.

2-nd session - one full loop, slower. less effort - quite tired, but not dead at the end, like last week. Speedy pulled away eventually. Temps just dropped under freezing point, snow got harder and difficult to navigate on tired legs.

6 loops in Forest Park: 8:28 (149), 8:10 (152), 8:13 (152), 7:59 (155), 7:54 (156), 7:48 (158). Felt good, legs are fine. Almost 100% recovered. Chilly (34F), windy and sunny. HR is too low, I do not know what to make of it.
