at Silas Condict, map will need some work, there some real glitches there.
Get great help today from Andis, Sergei and Nadya to set up, + K-pop and Judy to pick-up. Forgot to put water on a course, completely forgot, did not even cross my mind in last 24 hours (planned it during design). Fortunately no one died.

one of the trails I mapped 2 years ago is completely gone, nature works faster than I imagined!

Shadowed Ching-Hua, so she could finish it under 40 min to make it to another event later. Not much of a shadow I was in the beginning, but we made the deadline after cutting the interesting part of brown. Gorgeous woods, though, as Bernie would say, we are in peak foliage.

Since most of the map was field-checked by Geof, and all controls were placed by Craig, Geof, and Paul Bisset (WCOC), I ran my own course with moderate effort, making sure my map makes sense to me. Found some small glitches, but over all very pleased with our work, with little effort it can be polished to last for years to come. My navigation was OK, hesitated 2 x 30 sec max. Got really tired on last 2 km, dropped speed, sloppy execution to 17, ~1 min.
Good reception of the mapping by Rick Dewitt, unfortunately Stephan hurt himself on a fall, so he did not have much to say about mapping quality, I was looking forward to his expert opinion. May be next time, after I polish it a bit more.
Also, It was nice to see crowds of kids, credited to work of The Westmoreland Sanctuary. I was pleased to see WCOC, EMPO, and even DVOA members (beside myself). No Speedy, though :(

almost bonked at the end, did not eat much all day :). K-pop saved me with leftovers of her sandwich, when I walked into to sanctuary building.
