Running 1:04:30 [3] 10.64 km (6:04 / km)

From home this run did a loop on Farrer Ridge then up over Mt Taylor and back home. I have never done this combo before, it was good! Had a couple of good climbs. On Taylor I ran up the concrete path which is unusual for me because it's the busy one. I counted 35 people on the path tonight. I have never seen anyone on the steepest path before, in fact I think I'm the only one in the world who uses it :) Then I ran down the zig-zags. I always run down this one because it is the most gentle on knees and PF.

Running long 1:55:00 [3] 14.7 km (7:49 / km)

I did the first half of the 4 Peaks route up Grasstree Hill then across to Gunners Quoin, then made my way back straight-ish, mostly on firetrails to Risdon Brook Dam. I would have liked to have done the full loop but didn't have enough time (had slept in until 10, first sleep-in in about 2.5 years).
It was a nice run, just a bit wet underfoot but lovely bush. Things to note were:
43mins to Grasstree Hill (forgot to check watch at GQ),
Angriest cockies in Australia screeched at me as they always do up GH (like we're talking 15mins of serious noise),
Ran down the wrong spur between GH and GQ, corrected after a bit but visual memory of course had finally faded too much :(
Saw an echidna,
Had a run-in with Hobart Water as I walked across the carpark to my car at the end and I'm still tempted to write a complaint.

In the evening I travelled back to Canberra after a quick trip to Richmond in the afternoon. I got to catch up with my Uncle on Saturday night too so it certainly wasn't a wasted trip!
