Orienteering race (course 8.1km) 1:02:10 [4] *** 8.83 km (7:02 / km)
16c weight:58.6kg

State League event at Awoonga near Lake George.
Really enjoyed it. I love this kind of terrain where visibility is great and the challenge is just to take the smoothest line possible and run hard. There's always a small risk that you'll head off down the wrong spur but otherwise the area isn't particularly challenging. But sometimes it's nice to just enjoy running through the bush.

Running 43:00 [3] 7.15 km (6:01 / km)

Florence's birthday - morning out at Flip Out and lunch at McDonalds :)
I eventually got out for a run on Isaacs Ridge, and... didn't have any leg/hip pain! Occasional faint twinge in glute. Have not had a pain-free run since Nov/Dec last year. Pretty happy. Have a couple of ideas as to why but will have to wait and see.

Running 42:00 [3] 7.24 km (5:48 / km)

Lap of Mt Taylor.

Thursday Aug 1 #

5 PM

Running 36:00 [3] 6.2 km (5:48 / km)

My awesome children slept-in until 11am, so naturally I did too. Sleeping-in is something I excel at when given the chance, and isn't impacted by jetlag.
I got out for a run on Mt Taylor (two dams loop) late arvo. The first dam was completely dry!

Another long day of travelling (well, technically a short day). We arrived home at around 11pm.
You know you've arrived back in Australia when you get home and... you find a whopping great kangaroo nibbling grass on your front lawn.

Tuesday Jul 30 #

10 PM

Running 21:00 [3] 3.56 km (5:54 / km)

Arrived in Singapore, got some dinner, put the kids to bed, waited for Matt to run then I did a late jog in Pasir Ris park. I had cleaned my o-shoes in the sink ahead of Australian customs, so wore them for my run to try and squelch out some of the water. So given the shoes, I tried to stay on the grass where I could.
