Hard 2 at the ACT League #8 race at Collector Hill. A miss at c8 and a sub-optimal route/confusion mid-leg on the way to c4 were the main time losses. Otherwise, it was a really fun course and I had an absolute blast, despite all the dead wood on the ground and the physicality of it all.
Ran to the bottom of the main concrete path that goes up Mt Taylor, then headed up doing 1min hard, 40 secs rest/jog back down. There really wasn't much incentive to jog back down too fast... might never make it to the top. It took 12 reps to get there, then jogged back down the zig-zags. It was really cold when I set off (3 degrees) and I had Lah-Lah's "Tinkering" in my head, which wasn't too bad for the workout really.
I've had a month or two without any structure to my running, which has been great. It's hard to get out in the dark and cold and run a nasty session. But last night I finally pencilled some training for the next four weeks. Time to get a little fitter/faster!
