In car with Simon to the start of his mountain walk. I headed up the Glenn Mhianhaig track to the Eagle Observatory. Constant drizzly rain. Spent 10 mins in the observatory blissfully on my own with no other twitchers and then carried on to Loch Bhoisimid to see 3 men in a boat. Sat in the rain on the bench eating a bar outside the very posh hunting, shooting, fishing hut, then headed back down the track. Thought I saw an eagle come down and land but couldn’t be sure. Stopped at the Eagle hut on the way back and it was full of people staring out the windows. No room to sit so didn’t hang around for long. Headed for car, took off all my sopping wet gear and read my book whilst waiting for Simon to return.
