Orienteering 58:41 [1] 4.2 km (13:58 / km) +180ft 13:07 / km

Walked the green course so as not to trouble tendonitis healing process. Very frustrating at times when I just wanted to... run!!
Faltered going into control 2. Went in too early and couldn't understand why I was unable to find the stream. Fairly happy with the rest though apart from getting into the marsh heading for 6. Thought I could hop across the tufty bits but came a cropper and went in up to the waist. Brrr, it made for a very cold cycle ride home. Actual distance 5.5km according to Thraws and his gadget.

From Home, A272 then B roads to Barns Green, Itchingfield, Lyons Corner, Slinfold, Hayes Lane, A29 to Buckman Corner, Blue Ship, Okehurst, Newbridge and back home via Billi by-pass. Felt like more than 130m of climb.

Billingshurst to Rudgwick and back
A272 to Okehurst Lane, Gibbons Mill loop, Bucks Green, Loxwood Road to Mucky Duck, Hornshill Lane, Cooks Hill, Baynards, Cox Green, Lynwick Street and return past The Blue Ship, Okehurst Lane and home.
Finally feeling as if my cold is on its way out. After the first couple of miles with the odd bouts of coughing as the cold air hit my lungs, I settled into feeling happy and actually felt pretty good. A chilly stiff breeze but the sun was shining, daffodils and primroses blooming, making the ride an absolute pleasure.
12 PM

Walking 1:30:00 [4] 5.0 mi (18:00 / mi) +541ft 16:20 / mi

Walk with Harvey. Nice lad, always great company and very amusing.
Parked up just before Madehurst, ascended The Denture before cutting across to the top of Great Down. Numerous sheep in the top field but I could only see 3 lambs. As usual Great Down never ceases to lift the spirits with a lovely view of the coast. Back down through Madehurst to the car.
