Running 1:27:41 [2] 7.6 mi (11:32 / mi) +757ft 10:33 / mi

Great to be out on the downs this morning. A very chilly wind but clear blue skies so couldn't resist the run down Perry Hill from Wepham Down with the lovely views of Burpham and Arundel. Sadly Jules was suffering with a tight ham string and piriformis pain, so running became very intermittent after about 3.5 miles. Ah well, just good to be out.

Kayaking 21:39 [3] 0.57 mi (38:00 / mi) +7ft 37:34 / mi

Our intention was to paddle from Dell Quay but the traffic was horrendous so headed for Felpham beach. The waves were quite strong coming into the shore and we had two failed attempts at getting into the water where I got a soaking. It was quite an experience trying to battle the waves but I reckon we did pretty well for a first attempt. Half an hour was enough though as we felt like we weren't getting anywhere.
2 PM

Kayaking 1:56:49 [3] 3.95 mi (29:34 / mi) +9ft 29:31 / mi

Headed for Chichester Canal basin and, apart from the fact that we really should have put the skeg (fin) on the kayak as this would have helped immensely with steering, we had a very nice paddle down to Donnington and back. So the day wasn't a total disaster!
