Sunday Nov 1 #

Note

Got my maths wrong this week and did 15 hour, rather than 14 hour.
9 AM

Running 2:19:00 [2] ** 18.39 mi (7:34 / mi) +457m 7:01 / mi
ahr:164 max:182 shoes: Salomon sence ride 2 white

Run to Grandma’s for breakfast. Would have been better to have run with a map instead of running with a phone, but wasn’t too bad. New socks and shorts were good. One Nav mistake in lichfield. Would be a really good route for a time trial. Maybe Walton back gates to lichfield cathedral. Will do it again soon.
5 PM

turbo trainer 25:00 [1] 9.09 mi (2:45 / mi)

15 minutes at zone 1, 5 at ME and 5 warm down.

turbo trainer 5:00 [0]

warm up.

Saturday Oct 31 #

12 PM

Running 1:32:40 [1] *** 6.82 mi (13:35 / mi) +1000m 9:20 / mi
shoes: X-talon orange

Over Sedbergh with Dad after going to the Pete Bland sale. Great area, but the weather was too bad to risk the fell route. Did a fell rep in just over 15 minutes, but tweaked back and asthma got pretty bad from the cold and winds.
5 PM

turbo trainer 20:07 [1] 7.04 mi (2:51 / mi)
ahr:152 max:173

After the Lakes instead of going out in the dark for a run. Finally got the heart rate up high on the road bike without the legs dying from lactic accumulation. Quite enjoying the pushing and sweating now.
6 PM

Strength and conditioning 30:00 [1]

Core work and then some curls with the weights.

Friday Oct 30 #

11 AM

Running 1:00:01 [0] ** 4.86 mi (12:21 / mi) +116m 11:30 / mi
(rest day) shoes: Sense ride 2 red

With fly on the Oldacre spurs and then let her have swim in the duck pond. She got scared by the farmer shooting by the bridle way, but other than that was a good one out.

Thursday Oct 29 #

Strength and conditioning 1:00:00 [1]

Good session. Felt strong.
10 AM

Running 2:00:26 [1] ** 13.64 mi (8:50 / mi) +713m 7:36 / mi
ahr:150 max:190 shoes: Sense ride 2 red

Easy 2 over to Abraham's and Wolsley Park. Chase was empty besides some dog walkers and that big group of Thursday horse riders. Felt pretty good. Legs feel really strong, I think after using the turbo trainer. Definitely going to be something I do more regular in my training. Perhaps I can do my easy afternoon runs one day and then road bike intervals/turbo the next (excluding Friday rest days and Sunday long days)
6 PM

turbo trainer 40:09 [1] 8.17 mi (4:55 / mi)
ahr:131 max:171

Muscular endurance. It was a good concept, but I need to get the session styled properly to be zone 3. This could be big for the fell performance if it works correctly. Should in theory be the equivalent to having big Lakeland climbs, but in the gym.

Wednesday Oct 28 #

9 AM

Running 1:25:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @1) + (25:00 @3) ** 11.28 mi (7:32 / mi) +282m 7:00 / mi
shoes: S-lab sense 7

20x1minute(1minute) fartlek up Sherbrooke as I couldn’t go to track because of rona. Forgot Suunto intervals mess up the laps if you do it with a warm up and cool down, but they felt pretty strong and fast anyway. Warm up was 25minutes and warm down was 20minutes. Intervals were about 4:50-5:20 with comfy recovery jogs at around 7:30-8:00
4 PM

turbo trainer 34:41 intensity: (10:19 @0) + (15:46 @1) + (8:36 @2) 13.04 mi (2:40 / mi)
ahr:144 max:165

Bit hard of a session. I feel like this turbo training is grim, but could be beneficial for running.
5 PM

turbo trainer warm up/down 5:04 [0] 1.62 mi (3:08 / mi)
ahr:128 max:140

Tuesday Oct 27 #

8 AM

Running 1:25:54 [1] ** 9.42 mi (9:07 / mi) +152m 8:41 / mi
shoes: Sense ride 2 red

Secret one around Teddesley and over to Brocton duck pond. Felt good, but taking it pretty easily.
5 PM

Strength and conditioning 20:00 [1]

Lite core work.
6 PM

turbo trainer 44:59 intensity: (27:03 @0) + (11:29 @1) + (6:27 @2) 11.98 mi (3:45 / mi)
ahr:98 max:157

FTP test. Felt good, kinda hard. But only after did I realise that I actually had to push to the limit on it.

Monday Oct 26 #

9 AM

Running 1:45:09 [1] ** 11.27 mi (9:20 / mi) +566m 8:04 / mi
shoes: Salomon sence ride 2 white

Around the Chase Tops loop. Power hiked most of the hills just to keep HR down. Felt pretty good.
4 PM

Running 54:00 [1] 6.3 mi (8:34 / mi) +117m 8:06 / mi

First run in isolation. Around the Mungo Bone loop. Felt pretty good. As long as I can get one run a day, I think an evening go on the turbo will be fine.
6 PM

Strength and conditioning 30:00 [1]

Core. Not the most motivated after learning I have to isolate.
