Home to Lichfield Tesco before Grandma’s for lunch. Trying out the Salomon bag. A little baggy, but felt alright. Bit of a shock when the towers blew up at Rugerly and echoed all the way to beaudesert. Felt good, just didn’t want to push it the extra 3 mile to grandma’s.

Running race 25:16 [4] 3.44 mi (7:21 / mi) +289m 5:49 / mi
ahr:168 max:185 shoes: Green mudclaw

Rodney's Pillar fell race//5th.
New course was better than the old one with a very technical descent. Started off with Dan and Jack for a fast start, but dropped off about 3/4 the way up the first climb then got over taken by Matt Yapp to drop down to 4th. Amazing view at the top with a clear sky and a mystic blanket of clouds over the border hills. Descent was so good, but Andy was just better at doing that style of descent- he was going really fast. Should have really overtook him on the last descent and don't fully know why I held back. I did enjoy the race, but didn't feel like I was actually racing; it barley fel like a tempo. It was either because of doing too much prior, but I think more likely it was just mental laziness. Ultimately, I really didn't like the feeling of finishing in that poor of a position in this race, Sunday's orienteering and the Batch Bash, so that should give me the determination to gain some redemption in the future races. Do not want to finish in a position that low again.

Running warm up/down 1:00:00 [1] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Walk up the main track+warm up, warm down with the fast runners down the road. Andy swam in a dirty puddle in the road.

road bike 30:15 [1] 9.53 mi (18.9 mph) +72m
ahr:146 max:171 (rest day)

Ride to Haywood along Tiixall and Back through Shugbororugh. Probably a bit too fast for a rest day, but got carried away. Begining to appreciate that a rest day is for resting.

Mountain bike 2:08:58 [1] 20.41 mi (9.5 mph) +539m

Running 30:31 [2] 5.25 mi (5:49 / mi) +66m 5:36 / mi

Fast one around the road in the vest because of the heat. Felt good, but maybe a little heavy. Cadence also looks low.
