Local club race. Was nice to have real controls in the forest. Was a little distracted from catching up with folk before the race, and body felt a little tired after my three week set. Goal was to technically be great and cruise at threshold.

Technical started sloppy in cobtrol circle and improved. A couple of controls lost time on near the end through sloppiness.
Physically felt tough, a little more climb than normal but each climb had now power in legs to push.

Some good positives to take and some learnings for when one wants to compete.

Cruising speed. Amazing cold bright sunny evening. Out this time before needing the lamp for a change. Felt a bit tired in the legs on ups but was able to push a steady pace otherwise. Focus was on
- leg planning
- control planning
- how to change from one to the other in mindset.

Worked pretty well overall. Came a bit right on 6 and then a bit rubbish out on 8.

Memorable moment: Getting chased by a scary capercaillie to 11! oMG i thought it would catch me, then i reached the marsh and it couldnt pass through.
