Cramond, Corstorphine, Canal loop. Legs feeling fresh after some easy days and no intervals on a Saturday before long run. Surprisingly warm out today but I'm not complaining.
Kept it flat and on paths and knee was fine no pain. Also seems for the time being to have gotten rid of the clicking at the back of the knee.

Note

Knee is fine on the flat. Going to avoid downhills for a little while, and stay on paths to avoid any little side to side stabilisation movements on terrain which seems to be the only things that cause pain.

Gave the knee a day and a half off. Figured I'd go test how it's doing with Mikey whilst hoping to catch sights of the Calton and castle lights. No lights. Knee is fine on the flat just doesn't like down hill gradients.

Note

Something at the back of the knee is clicking when I bend it fully, then something makes a cracking noise when extending it and the knee cap seems to jolt a little. No pain doing this or putting force through it though. Just little random side to side movements causing pain in the gap of the joint of the outside and a little on the inside. Interesting...

A loop round Blackford with Ali. Something sore with my knee. Can't believe it. I actually for the first time in ages bothered to stretch and roll after my run last night. Conspiracy : small chance physios tell us we need to stretch etc but it's just a way to drum up repeat business?

Quick becoming the usual short morning loop with Tim, Ali and Sasha. Aston house has got a second Aston. Love a gpx file.
6 PM

Running 1:00:24 [4] 14.95 km (4:02 / km)
shoes: NB 1500

Intervals down the cycle path and the little triangle down at the far end. 3x8mins @~3:50 (2) then 3x4mins @~3:35 I'm guessing (1). Regret mentioning Sasha's gpx file joke from this morning because as it turns out I don't love a gpx file. Was all over the place for the last 3 and a bit reps. Found Wtracks quite useful trying to fix it but in the end I couldn't be bothered as it's was so many points all over the place.

Reset the watch and jogged back. Some very cool lights shining across the sky from the castle into the distance.

Nice evening for a Craigmillar Braids loop. Great to be back. Made it a good way round before it got dark and rainy.
Had a strange super high HR spike the other day on an easy downhill, but it was a one off so didn't think much about it. Happened again today. Interesting.

The usual nice city loop going steady with an bit of effort up the mile to get the HR up. Have missed Calton, need to visit more often.

Morning bog loop with Tim. Trees starting to blossom and plenty daffodils out, all looking lovely.
