Running 31:20 [2] 7.0 km (4:29 / km) +10m 4:27 / km
shoes: Kalenji Trails

Steady run with fiona - very pleasant
Shin wasnt noticeable, ankle swelling has gone down, big toe started to hurt a bit towards the end so I’ll see how it is later. Cold was still lingering but mostly gone now.

S and C 45:00 [3]

Decent core, glutes and calves session, although wouldn’t recommend watching worlds strongest man for inspiration as it is quite disheartening looking down from the TV to my sparrows legs.

Quick update on injuries:
Shins have been fine since ridgeway session, but I haven’t done much at all since, so it’s hard to tell.
My virus is still kicking about a bit but the worst of it is over
Woke up with a randomly swollen ankle a few days ago and it hasn’t gone away fully yet. Bit confusing as it doesn’t hurt much at all and I don’t remember twisting it.
After the Brutal run my big toe is really sore when I push off on my left foot. No idea why.
So an unfortunate Christmas period but hopefully I’ll be back on the bandwagon soon.

Running race 38:02 [4] 8.0 km (4:45 / km) +355m 3:53 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 225

Brutal run, Longmoor - won the 8km race but was 4th overall (the others still had another lap which is a bit embarrassing). Absolutely great fun even though I was still struggling to breathe a bit. Mysterious ankle swelling had gone down enough to race. The water features were surprisingly draining and the cold water seizes up the muscles so it was a great challenge combined with the steep climbs. Would recommend
