Glasgow Miler Meet 3000m

One of those days where everything just falls into place. This might be the peak of my career.
Felt truly scarily terrible on the shakeout and the legs felt un-lifelike on the WU so knew something special was about to happen.
The second pacer told us on the line he'd be running 68s which I was thrilled to hear, with my plan being 69s (Axel Granqvist style) for as long as I could last. Settled into the back of the pack but 70 for the first full lap was too slow so moved up to right behind the pacer after the first km.
He moved me through the field until 2km with some nice words of encouragement as he stepped off. I felt that I had something left so began the squeeze. Kicked with a 62ish to finish and found something to stagger past Noah in the final 100. Exceptionally cheeky with his own spikes on my feet.

Over the moon! Track season is complete, now to get orienteering fit.
