Long run down to Cramond, back up Costorphine, a bit of WoL, a bit of canal. With Andrew.

Really nice out, feeling good. 5k at 4:40 along the railway. Then Costorphine killed me. Aim for the last 10k was to get back to faster than race pace. It was hard. Super strong headwind. Actually so thankful for Andrew's company, carried me through.

Had 2 gels, 60 and 100min in. Don't know what effect they had.

All in all a good day out. Really looking forward to this marathon thingy now!

10k progression +wu/wd. From 5min/k to 4:20min/k, 10 seconds faster every 2 k.

Really good fun. 4:30 was much easier to maintain than 5:00, albeit for 2 k. Quite a good session mental wise. Relatively tired by the end.
