BRUTAL LONGMOOR
First 600m along a track then into the sandy area which pops you out nicely into a waist high trench full of water. Came above belly button on me though and had to hold Tommy’s hand to keep him afloat. Another k through sand dunes which was v tough and legs felt like planks of wood from the cold. Down a twisty path and more obstacles which I can’t remember. Then over a trench that came up to my arms, out, then straight back in it again:) Had pretty good technique through the water as made up quite a lot of places but couldn’t really breathe because having cramp problems in chest again. Tommy overtook me here:( The next 4k took you up down up down up down x8. Almost fell down a few they were very steep. Really enjoyed the downhills and made up loads of time so chuffed. Cranked it up a notch for the last k so managed to pace myself for once!
Cramps at their worst but running high on skittles and came 6th women out of 300ish so not too bad. Sorry bout the write up

SO Christmas score.
80’s and 70’s with change over control.
Felt like a slug for first 2k ish but then got a bit more into it. Did 80’s first and missed the 2 down the far end (probably should’ve got them) then switched and did 70’s. A few long hauls along the lovely boggy stanmer paths but a pretty decent route I think.
Won women’s open and junior women which I think is illegal but gave away both my boxes of chocolate anyway because I have eaten far far far too much of granny’s food.
Looking forward to the Brutal soon...
