Sunday Jun 2 #

Note
(rest day)

another day spent at home!

maybe should’ve got out but family in liverpool so not much encouragement to do so. ending a very tedious and boring half term spent majority at my desk and into last 2 weeks of exams now..hopefully can get out for runs immediately post exam if i’m not feeling too tired but they really zap all my energy so we will see

running 26:59 [3] 4.99 km (5:24 / km) +30m 5:15 / km

parkrun

‘pacing’ mum more just running along side her and giving encouragement. obviously not setting the world alight with the pace but faster than other stuff i’ve done recently and felt completely comfortable so that’s nice. also nice to get up in the morning and run before day at home

Note
(rest day)

little walk in the fells close to home after big revision day. brain feeling like mush but felt better on this walk. just going to do what i can for the next bit, will try and run immediately after i have an exam as a mental reset but officially 2 weeks until i’m done so can get back to proper training soooon

genuinely think my mind was in another world on this run. nav was still completely fine as i could see a lot of the controls and i know the area v well. just not thinking about the orienteering at all kind of in a daze just dawdling about. enjoyed the run out though and much nicer to find controls but defo paid the price for going so slow with a pretty rough result.

honestly making me a bit anxious if i’m going to be able to orienteer/run fast again and i am missing training and running fast a lot but just do not have the energy or focus

a bit of grizedale o but quite ready for the return to orienteering yet oopsss

started off immediately bad just nothing really making sense and rushed off but managed to find 1 ok. set off to 2 and couldn’t get up this crag section so went down into this low vis forest bit and majorly bumped my head on a branch. proceeded to sit down and cry for a few mins (i am quite mentally fragile atm) and then found mum so did some short controls with her. another not good outing but definitely not ready for south lakes orienteering yet not sure how i didn’t see that coming

head a bit sore for rest of evening but mostly just hurts to touch so must have bashed skin a bit. got a lot of tension headaches atm anyway
