Trail 1:25:00 [3] 16.0 km (5:19 / km) +550m 4:32 / km
shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

20’ easy + 5 x 5 min hill reps + 20’ easy
Last couple of days of holiday before back to work on Monday. Away on Rum for the weekend. Limited choice of where to do these but found a good single track trail on the start of the Askival hill path. Legs feeling pretty well recovered from Snowdon, although definitely tiring during last 2 reps. First 3 most consistent of the lot. Easy jog down between each.
Feeling a bit of soreness in left glute at end of session - something to keep an eye on

60’ Easy with Diagonals
Easy trails in the Glen with Diagonals at halfway at Claggan park. Nice to get the legs moving faster again on the Diagonals

Heading over towards Aviemore so stopped for a bit at Creag Meagaidh. Easy trails up to the Lochan and back with strides to finish. Legs starting to feel more back to normal

Wednesday Jul 24 #

Trail 1:22:00 [1] 16.5 km (4:58 / km) +175m 4:43 / km
shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

Easy + strides
Didn’t get hiking today so ran a bit longer instead as per original plan. Legs still feeling heavy on any of the climbing but fine on the flat. Heavy on strideouts too

Mountain 4:30:00 [1] 16.0 km (16:53 / km) +1400m 11:44 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

Hiking
Stayed fairly local as weather was so good. A nice hike and a bit of scrambling involved too taking in a double traverse of the Aonach Ridge in Glen Coe. Our for about 4 and half hours in total. Legs still generally a bit heavy but feeling so much better for yesterday’s massage.

Monday Jul 22 #

Road/Trail mix 45:00 [1] 8.31 km (5:25 / km) +71m 5:12 / km
slept:9.0 shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

45’ easy
A wet canal run. Very gentle, legs still feeling sore. Massage after.

Note

Sports massage 1hr
Generally quite tight, particularly hamstrings and quads. Loosened off a lot after this though, legs feeling much better

Sunday Jul 21 #

Trail/ Mountain mix 1:22:00 [1] 12.12 km (6:46 / km) +680m 5:17 / km
shoes: Adidas Terrex agravic speed

Easy
A slightly longer team run than expected... legs a lot sorer after a nights sleep but good to keep them moving. Headed up onto Moel Ellio, hiking the up and gently jogging everything else.
Followed by a day travelling north. Will keep it to a flat 45’easy tomorrow.
