Fell 30:30 [3] 5.63 km (5:25 / km) +348m 4:08 / km
shoes: Walsh pb racer

Creag Dubh

Carnage at the start. Whistle blown without warning and completely boxed in for the lap of the games field before hitting the hill... not the best of starts but worked my way up through the field on the climb, not feeling brilliant but still felt like a fairly decent climb, roughly 15th at the summit.
Got caught in behind a few runners on the single track section of descent before a slip on a rock slab and big whack to the coccyx... game over from here as a few runners passed before I even got back on my feet! Then a gingerly jog back to the finish feeling very sore, losing a few more places along the way. Disappointed not to be able to push hard right to the finish but a pb all the same, about 2 mins faster than the only other time I raced here in 2016

shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

60’ Moderate
Mix of canal running and a bit on the road. Very flat all in all. Ran at usual moderate pace. Kept it pretty consistent although did feel like a bit more effort than usual running at this pace, particularly during first 30’. Felt better and more comfortable during second half of the run. No issues from the glute again

shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

60’ Easy
Very easy trot along the canal after second blood test. Feeling very tired during the day at work but good to get the legs moving all the same. No issues with the glute which was good

Trail 57:00 [1] 10.0 km (5:42 / km) +278m 5:00 / km
shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

60’ easy

Easy trails in the Glen with Finlay. Felt the left glute initially but once fully warmed up it didn’t cause any problems. Didn’t feel it at all for the rest of the run. Avoided any big climbs but some nice undulating trails.
