Trail/ Mountain mix 2:05:00 [1] 18.8 km (6:39 / km) +452m 5:56 / km
shoes: iRocks

2hrs easy

Easy trails in the Glen and out towards the Mamores. Some tiredness in the legs so avoided going too high. Great sunny day and good to catch a bit of the RoS race

Trail/ Mountain mix 1:20:00 [3] 10.6 km (7:33 / km) +951m 5:13 / km
shoes: iRocks

20' easy + 30' uphill tempo + easy back down

Avoided the busy Ben path and used the Stob ban mountain path at the end of the glen instead. A fair bit rougher than the Ben path but a decent trod all the same. Pushed hard for the 30' and feeling it in the legs at the end. Not far from the summit by the end of the tempo so continued easy to reach the summit cairn before an easy descent

Easy + strides
Quite a late finish at work but managed to squeeze something in just before dark. Easy canal run, felt a slight tightness in right calf but nothing came of it. Feels okay post run.

20' easy + 3 x 5min hill reps + 20' easy
Easy on the road from the house and then used a very runnable trail for the reps - far more runnable than the Ben path which i've used before for this session.
Reps felt pretty good with easy jog back down between each one. Surprised the legs seem to have recovered so well from the weekend. Tired legs by the end of the session though!

60’ easy + hill sprints
Easy canal run with 6 hill sprints at halfway. Thought legs maybe too tired for the sprints but seem to have recovered well from Scafell. Sprints were good

Two Breweries recceeing

Legs quite heavy and lethargic from yesterday although not nearly as bad as post Ben race.
A difficult one to recce being a point to point so ended up just recceing the 2nd half as an out an back, which seemed the harder half for navigation. Wasn’t going to have the time or legs to do the entire thing and cycle back to the car afterwards. Still a very useful recce.
Hiked a lot of this with bits of easy jogging on the flatter and downhill sections. A lot of undulating landrover tracks and running through farm yards...
